To ensure the sustainability of its open-access publishing model, Advances in Food & Biosciences may apply Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts. These charges cover costs related to editorial management, peer review, copyediting, online hosting, indexing, and long-term archiving.

1. APC Structure
   • Standard APC: Please insert the fee in USD/PKR/€ as applicable.
   • No additional charges for submission, color figures, or supplementary material.
2. Waivers and Discounts

   Advances in Food & Biosciences is committed to supporting global research equity. Waivers or discounts on APCs may be granted in the following cases:

   • Authors from countries designated as low- or middle-income by the World Bank.
   • Early submissions during the journal’s launch phase.
   • Students or early-career researchers with demonstrated financial constraints.
   • Invited papers or special issue contributions.
3. Waiver Application Process
   • Authors requesting a waiver must submit a brief justification at the time of manuscript submission.
   • The decision on waiver requests will not influence the editorial or peer-review process.
   • Approved waivers/discounts will be confirmed before final acceptance.
4. Transparency
   • All APC information, including waiver options, will be clearly stated on the journal website. Advances in Food & Biosciences ensures there are no hidden costs for authors.
